ABOUT TIA
A note from Elyssa- writer, editor, marketer- everything.
The Introvert Archive was born from my incessant need to write everything down- usually things about my mental health. The writing was my release, my way of making sense of everything. I was never sure what to do with that writing, but one day I decided to post it on the internet.
At first, The Introvert Archive was not something I shared with people, I didn’t link the content anywhere, I didn’t tell anyone about the blog, it just kind of existed on the internet.
I think I was around 17 when I decided I wanted to make a difference through my writing and started to post regularly and tell people about it. I started a Facebook page, an Instagram page and gradually TIA started to grow. The people I reached started to grow, I was getting messages from people saying that my message was inspiring, that I was helping people and that continued to spur me on.
As I grew into myself I realised I had a lot of opinions, I have a voice and I had a way of sharing that voice when perhaps there were other people who couldn’t. TIA was no longer just about mental health, it was about anything and everything- women’s issues, human rights, equal rights, politics, social issues, I wanted to cover it all.
This is where The Introvert Archive is now, primarily, we are on Instagram but once a week or so I go deep on a topic that I feel would not be done justice in an Instagram caption.
People may not agree with everything I have to say, and that is fine! I encourage other opinions, I want to understand different ideas and know-how other people think, how their mind works. I encourage people to formulate their own ideas and tell me about them- this is a conversation, not me telling you what to think.
